As we travel the Wheel of the Year, we’ve left the height of the Summer Solstice energy with it’s bright energy that fuels our ambitions and shines light on all of the possibilities and goals we’re working on to arrive at Lammas.
While Lammas is the first of three harvest celebrations, most of us probably aren’t cutting wheat or corn these days. Modern harvests would be more aligned with our personal goals or career progress, things we put energy into building over the summer months and are now seeing results from.
So while I’ll still do activities such as gardening, making a corn dolly or baking bread at Lammas to honor the old ways, I’ll be more focused on things like gratitude work and celebrating my wins, big or small.
It’s a good time to take stock of that progress I’m so grateful for, too, and assess how much work is still to be done. After all, there are two more harvests this year, and I’ve definitely still got work to do!
I hope you’re enjoying the fruits of your own harvest at this time of the year, and are celebrating many successes!
