Litha, also known as Midsummer or the Summer Solstice, falls between June 20-23 in the Northern Hemisphere.  The longest day of the year, this time of light celebrates abundance and success, inner power and brightness.  It’s also believed to be the time in which the Oak King and Holly King battle (they battle again at Yule), the Holly King triumphing as the year takes a waning turn.
