This Full Moon energy is ideal for focusing on personal growth and self-care. I’ve noticed recently that some people hesitate to do any workings under the influence of an eclipse, but to me, that energy is simply another element to work with.
I like to start, as I do with any working, by considering the energy at hand—in this case, a Dyad or Flower Moon under eclipse influence. And the working I’d like to do—in this case, a focus on self-care. I start by listing what this eclipse brings to mind, and how it can be incorporated into my working.
Full Moon Eclipse Energy
⭐️ Eclipses hide or block things (ie: the Sun or the Moon)
⭐️ Eclipse energy can be unpredictable
⭐️ During a Lunar Eclipse, we (the Earth) are situated in perfect alignment between the Moon and the Sun
As I contemplate these energies, and the focus of self-care, it feels like a time for meditation, messages and delving deep for answers to anything that is holding back the manifestations I’ve been working toward.
I also want to bring in the energy of the Element of Water, as it is heavily influenced by the Moon. Which brings me to a favorite meditation practice of mine, one that’s perfect to perform under this Full Moon… A Magickal Foot Soak.
A Magickal Foot Soak
Depending on your mood, practice or preference, the following can be used/added to your Full Moon Magickal Foot Soak ritual.
Crystals (amethyst is perfect)
Scented Candles
Incense (Full Moon Enchantment is ideal)
Music
A notepad and pen to record any messages
A cast circle, with Quarter Calls and an Invocation to the Goddess
Before the ritual, create the Soothing Magickal Foot Soak recipe. If possible, sets up your ritual space outdoors under the Moon herself. Prepare for the ritual as is your tradition or practice, with or without the circle, calls and invocation. Focus on your question, on the issue you feel needs insight and clarity, and take yourself into a light meditative state. When you feel ready to receive answers, slip your feet into the silky, scented water. Breathe deep the floral bouquet, and let the energy of the water and the Full Moon bring you the answers you’re seeking.
Soothing Magickal Foot Soak
- 1/4 cup Epsom salt
- 1/4 cup Himalayan salt
- 1 tsp Jojoba oil
- 5-8 drops Ylang Ylang oil (or your favorite essential oil)
- 1 tbsp Dried Jasmine Flowers
- 1 tbsp Dried Lavender
- 1 tbsp Rose Petals (dried or fresh)
Combine salts in bowl, then slowly stir in essential oils and jojoba. Gently mix in flowers.
To use Pisces Foot Soak, fill vessel large enough to comfortably rest both feet in (copper or glass bowl, home foot bath machine, tub) with very warm (as warm as you’re comfortable with) water.
Add 1/8 cup or more of salt mixture to water and swirl to release the oil’s scent and the flower’s energy.
Slide your feet into the water and soak for 20-30 minutes.
For added benefit, soak by candlelight with soft music playing, holding an amethyst crystal to aid in releasing stress and awakening spiritual energy.
This recipe makes enough salt mixture for approximately 4 soaks. Between uses, store your floral salt blend in a jar dedicated to the Moon Goddess.
