The Wheel of the Year

The Wheel of the Year marks eight seasonal turning points shaped by the Sun’s journey and the changing relationship between light and dark. These moments—known as the Sabbats—offer natural opportunities for reflection, renewal, celebration, and rest.

The Sabbats include Imbolc, Spring Equinox, Beltane, Summer Solstice, Lammas, Autumn Equinox, Samhain, and Winter Solstice.

While these seasonal markers are often associated with witchcraft and Pagan traditions, working with the Wheel does not require adherence to a specific belief system. At its heart, the Wheel reflects natural cycles that are accessible to anyone who wishes to live with greater awareness, rhythm, and connection.

Rooted in agricultural and solar cycles, the Wheel of the Year offers a framework that translates easily to modern life—guiding personal growth, spiritual practice, and intentional living throughout the year.

Lunar Cycles & Working with the Moon

Alongside the seasonal rhythm of the Sun, the Moon offers a more intimate, recurring cycle. Each lunar phase—New Moon, Waxing Moon, Full Moon, and Waning or Dark Moon—supports reflection, intention, release, and renewal on a personal scale.

Working with lunar energy encourages small, everyday rituals rather than fixed observances. Whether through journaling, meditation, divination, or quiet moments of awareness, the Moon invites you to respond to change with presence rather than pressure.
